August 2011 Survey : SETA

The objective of this particular remuneration survey is to benchmark practices within the SETA environment. The result of the process is to provide the tools to develop a pay strategy which is equitable both within organisations and externally. This survey was first initiated in 2004. The participation fee for the 21st Century SETA Industry Survey will cost R10 600 plus VAT per participating organisation.

We cover the following detail, which will be provided in the form of a report:

  • Annual Basic Salary for each position (expressed as quartiles)
  • Total Guaranteed Package for each position (expressed as quartiles)
  • Short term incentive opportunities for each position (potential earnings and actual earnings)
  • Grade Reports
  • Employment practice and benefits for example:
  • Remuneration approach 
  • Benefits offered at each level
  • 13th cheque practice
  • Performance management policy
  • Labour turnover  
  • Retention strategies
  • Annual Leave
  • Increases granted and projected
  • Minimum Qualifications
